Fostering dialogue and cross-cultural understanding between West Asian, East Asian, and contemporary Australian cultures through the lens of love, migration, commerce, consumption, and belonging, the project celebrates the diverse, interconnected cultures of East and West Asia and their descendants –communities that shape the vibrant, pluralist fabric of modern Australia.

Artistic Significance

Arising from deep cross-disciplinary dialogue, the project reimagines Lee’s poetry as an interwoven constellation of painting, music, and text, each medium amplifying and transforming the others. Through this synthesis, the work transcends individual art forms to create a unified aesthetic language—one that embodies the poem’s essence across sound, image, and word.
